On Monday I was delighted to welcomed H.E. Ambassador Charis Christodoulidou of Cyprus to Limerick as part of the EU 50 and Blue Star Programme.
The Blue Star Programme requires teachers and primary school pupils to carry out projects and tasks related to the History, Geography, Culture and Institutions of the EU.
Over 240 primary schools are participating in this year’s programme. Amongst the limerick schools were St Marys Boys National School Abbeyfeale, Scoil Iosaf Newcastle West, and St Nicholas National School Adare.
