Delighted as your local TD and Minister for the Office of Public Works to announce funding of €90,000 for drainage works in Galbally, Kilmallock, and Kilfinane.

The funding is being provided by my Department to Limerick City and County Council in response to flooding that happened in the South Limerick area during the late summer.

“I am delighted as the local TD to be able to make this money available to the Council.

The townlands of Ballonatona Galbally, Gotoon Kilmallock, and Bosnetstown Kilfinane will benefit from this funding from the Office of Public Works.

I’m working closely with the Council on a number of different projects across the County on the areas of flooding and drainage. I will be trying to progress these projects with the Council, my Fine Gael colleagues in the Council and local communities to alleviate further flooding issues across Limerick.

I know the issued caused by flood only too well and I know the difficulty that it causes. As minister in charge of the Office of Public Works I am committed to working as hard as I can to ensure I get the most money for schemes like this all over the country.
