O’Donovan welcomes first round of Summer Works Scheme for County Limerick Schools

Fine Gael TD for Limerick Patrick O’Donovan has welcomed the news he received from the Minister for Education and Skills that 10 schools across County Limerick are to benefit from the first round of funding under the Summer Works Scheme.

The funding will go towards gas, electrical and mechanical work projects in the successful schools. These projects will ensure that the schools are safe and warm for all of the 1,100 plus students that will benefit from this announcement.

In all over 386 schools across the country have been approved to carried out these projects, which will cost approximately €36m, delivering over 2,500 local jobs in our communities this summer.
